The catamaran has a different behavior from a normal mono hull, because of its width it has greater stability and being endowed with a wide sail surface with two sharp hulls that oppose little resistance to water to the first gust of wind it takes a lot of speed

The Catamaran is therefore for those who love speed, dynamism at sea … and of course also a pinch of adrenaline!

Usually we think of the catamaran course if you already have a sailing experience, in reality anyone can begin to maneuver this exciting boat, the important requirements are the enthusiasm, the passion for the sea and a pinch of adrenaline desire.

Basic course

The only thing you need to do is swim. We will teach you all the rest.

Catamaran Starting Course

If you have no experience or idea of ​​how a water sport like this is, this course is for you , that you are just a beginner (or almost).

The courses last 1 week, consisting of 5 catamaran lessons of 3 hours approx each one. According to weather conditions they may be in the morning or afternoon. (usually in the morning).

  • Basic and safe maneuvers
  • Gaits

  • Notes on the use of the Trapeze

Advanced course
for amateurs or if you already know the basics

The course includes:

  • 5 Lessons
  • 3 houre each course
  • Personal Tutor
  • Insurance
  • Equipment Rental

Advanced Catamaran Course

This course level is for those who have the knowledge bases and some catamaran experience.

The Catamaran lessons of this course will be used to increase the autonomy and maneuvering skills of this boat, pushing it to a higher level the possibilities of navigation and adrenaline search.

The courses last 1 week, consisting of 5 catamaran lessons of 3 hours approx. each.

According to weather conditions they may be in the morning or afternoon. (usually in the morning).

Recommended: Prerequisite is that the elementary / basic level is already acquired and that you have already had some experience with some catamaran outings.

Main Goals:

  • rigging boat based on wind intensity
  • improved tack and jibe
  • balancing techniques
  • fine adjustment of the sails in the various gaits
  • knowledge of meteorological phenomenas for safe exit management
  • use of the trapeze as bowman and helmsman

Program:

  • Setting up the Sails
  • boat speed search
  • advanced operation of the trapeze (both for the owner and the helmsman)
  • base meteorology
  • rigging boat based on wind intensity
  • improved tack and jibe
  • balancing techniques
  • fine adjustment of the sails in the various gaits
  • knowledge of meteorological phenomenas for safe exit management
  • use of the trapeze as bowman and helmsman

In the course cost is included the use of all the necessary equipment, rc insurance, school diploma and teaching text “Catamaran lessons” published by Mursia and written by instructor Silvia Guerra.

Regatta Course

for really experienced and that ones who want to reach the highest level and train hard for Regatta

Catamaran lesson schedule:

  • Strategies on the boat’s rigging
  • VMG
  • Buoyancy and balance of the various gaits
  • Basic rules of the regatta
  • Regatta tactics and strategy
  • Departure workouts

Catamaran Regatta Course

This course level is aimed at those who have participated already in the advanced course and have achieved all the objectives, or those who demonstrate their ability to bring the catamaran in most weather and marine conditions and to know how to use the trapeze both as a helmsman and as a crewman.

The Catamaran lessons of this course will serve to further refine and prepare the student to the maximum advanced level that can be met, the one of regatta.

The courses last 1 week, consisting of 5 catamaran lessons of 3 hours approx. each.

Depending on the weather conditions, they can be in the morning or in the afternoon. (usually in the morning).
